GayBash’d cancels New Year’s Eve show and teases Spring events
"Stay on Top of This" - vol 2. / no. 8
Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, GayBash’d Boston has canceled their New Year’s Event event, originally to be headlined by Cupcakke and Dragula’s Sigourney Beaver and Saint.
“The decision to cancel catapults our artist-ran business into debt, as we took the risk of investing a lot into New Year’s Eve,” GayBash’d’s Dec. 28 statement reads, “but this particular event is simply too large in attendance to be held safely.”
Refunds will be issued to all ticket holders and those interested in making a donation to the local queer artists hired for the event can email info@gaybashdboston.com
Along with their cancellation, GayBash’d teased their June 10 pride celebration— a drag and music festival at Roadrunner, a new venue slated to open in Allston in Spring 2022. Those who purchased New Year’s tickets will have first access to GayBash’d Pride tickets.
